Preference is an uncomplicated, single premium investment bond which which was sold internationally under the Scottish Provident International Life Assurance Limited brand prior to 2009. Preference is now closed to new business.
The fund range
In the Preference fund range there are funds from well known fund groups to choose from. These span across several key sectors, in a choice of GBP, EUR and USD denominations.
There is a Preference (Rest World) variant and a Preference (Hong Kong) variant. Preference (Hong Kong) was sold only to applicants who were either resident in Hong Kong at the time of taking out their policy or who flew in to Hong Kong to sign their application.
The Preference (Rest of World) variant contains circa 60 funds to choose from. The Preference (Hong Kong) variant comprises circa 33 funds all of which are SFC* approved funds only, as is required under Hong Kong regulations.
The Preference fund range continues to benefit from discounted initial fund charges.
